Dizzy Gillespie at the hotel Hessischer Hof, Frankfurt, 1956 -by Robert Lebeck

I did not find it difficult to approach the stars with my camera. I even walked a whole night through Frankfurt with Dizzie Gillespie, showing him the city and its clubs, while the great trumpeter did not grow weary of unpacking his instrument and playing a few pieces. It was not before the early morning that he threw himself onto the hotel bed before my eyes and fell asleep while still sitting. I carefully placed his horn onto the cover, and then I took my shot.— Robert Lebeck, Comment from his Official Website
